Beckingham Palace up for sale!

Buzz has it that David and Victoria Beckham are selling their mansion in Hertfordshire, known as Beckingham Palace, for 10 million pounds.

David and Victoria threw many lavish parties at Beckingham Palace, including their pre-World Cup party.

But the family have kept their ??11million mansion in Los Angeles to use during the holidays, including this Easter.

They are now said to be looking for a family home in London near to Victoria's fashion house which is based in Battersea, and will be easy for David to travel to from the French capital.

The Beckhams have made LA their home, and the kids are settled there.

A source close to the family said David, 37, and Victoria, 38, didn't want builders to cash in on their name.

A source said, "David and Victoria have been wanting to sell up for a couple of years now but the timing was never right."

They bought their seven-bed Grade II-listed mansion in Hertfordshire for ??2.5million shortly after marrying in 1999.

The couple are selling their Hertdfordshire home, but don't just want anyone moving in - they're keen to sell to a private buyer with a family and not a property developer who will turn it into luxury flats.

Reportedly, David and Victoria Beckham's first proper family home, that came to be known as Beckingham Palace - and after 14 years, they have decided to say goodbye and have put their mansion on the market.

"They didn't want to lose money, putting their homes up for sale during a slump in the property market. So, after getting it valued two years ago, decided to hold off until now. Unfortunately, they have still lost quite a lot of money on their UK home due to all the renovations they carried out", added the source.
